Its mid November already! And I’ve been a lazy blogger as always. I have on the other hand been a very busy bee at work, straddling a very fine line between being balanced and stressed out.
Capsule wardrobe
Three things right now
I have a new project going as both my French course and my Writing Romance course got cancelled. I want to learn to bake.
A Japanese love story and my May wardrobe
From the most horrible winter everything quickly changed and now it´s summer! Spring, my favorite time of the year, just made a quick visit for a week and then left. So when planning my May wardrobe and the 35 pieces to go into my kinda-capsule-wardrobe I need to consider warm weather, possible changes back to winter, a lot of job-related representation and just chilling in the sun.
Spring has sprung and I´m ashamed
OK, so I have not written about my wardrobe for a while, and you may think it´s because there is nothing much to say, as I am on a shopping-ban…
Well, ehem….I haven´t kept my ban and I´m ashamed.
How will I survive a shopping-ban?
A week ago the city was having a taste of Spring! I took a long walk through the inner city and just enjoyed the light, the water and all the happy faces. We are a ceazy people that way, the minute the sun shines we go crazy. But it is a smart tactic – because just a few days later we had a bit of a snow blizzard, and parts of the country was snowed in. So you have to love what you get, right?
A hundred names for snow
I woke up Monday morning and the first snow had come. It is the same thing every year. The first snow comes and chaos breaks out. That includes no commuter trains working, buses being cancelled because it´s too slippery on the roads and thousands of people with tired and drawn looks on their faces trying to get to work or home or just basically getting anywhere! It seems we all forget about it coming, every year, and are totally taken by surprise. But we quickly adapt, and the first snow hardly ever stays, thankfully. So Tuesday was cold and the streets pretty clear from snow.
Kindness, laziness and bedtime-stories
It seems to me Christmas is starting earlier every year, am I right or not? Most of my neighbors have decorated their balconies with lights, the way many Swedes do, and I am stubbornly holding on to December 1st. No, I´m not really a traditionalist, and I enjoy the lights, but I´m too lazy to go down to my basement-storage and take up the lights and fix whatever needs fixing. I will do it, just not yet.
November rain
Monday started with a bang this week, the office closed and everyone switched rooms. All part of a re-organization of the kind new bosses love to stick their teeth in. I´m sure you get my point.
I was supposed to sit somewhere else but after a discussion I managed to wrestle into a room I used to have five years ago, next to the coffee-machine. That will be handy when boredom strikes and I need coffee, or just to get me through my workload that is just massive atm. This is my Monday outfit – all black!
Change is in the air! – mini wardrobe month 2
So we are entering November, possibly the most boring month of the year (except February perhaps, or January….) . Anyway, while I try to book fun events to get me through, I have also re-considered my capsule wardrobe as it is now month 2 of my project.
First week with capsule wardrobe
Okej, so I´m guessing you want to see how my first week with the capsule wardrobe has gone. It´s been GOOD. Actually, because I have been very stressed out at work for a lot of reasons, I have been grateful that I don´t have to worry about clothes. Just reach for something and go with it.
